Bill Stewart, LCSW opened Impact Child and Family Therapies Inc. in June 2013. By utilizing the philosophy of a strength-based and relationship building approach within the therapeutic framework, Bill began receiving clients who were deemed too aggressive or high risk for other agencies. The agency’s relationship-centered approach has led to our clients becoming successful in treatment, as well as leading successful lives outside of therapy.  The staff at Impact all share the same philosophy of genuineness and compassion when relating to clients and their challenges and this inspires motivation for clients to feel empowered in making positive change. 

Prior to establishing Impact, Bill had many years of experience within different areas of the mental health field. His professional career first began in 1993 when he started interning at Tuesdays Child in Chicago, IL, which is a special-needs daycare and parent support agency Bill also worked throughout both Wisconsin and Illinois in foster care and adoption programs, residential treatment, special education, and in-home psychotherapy. He graduated with his Bachelors of Arts in Applied Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1997, and later received his Masters in Social Work from UIC’s Jane Addams College of Social Work in 2003. Bill received his LCSW in 2005 and has been licensed in Wisconsin for almost 20 years.

Bill is extremely proud of his 25+ years of experience within the mental health field, and has specifically focused on both attachment and trauma theory., As a provider, he focuses on maintaining a strength-based, client-entered approach to therapy, which he has found to been successful with many clients and families. 

Impact Child and Family Therapies Inc. agency has shown incredible growth in its first 10 years, with the promise of ongoing growth and success in the community for many, many years to come.  We currently provide services to over 100 families in Kenosha County and look forward to supporting more.  We are positively impacting the world, one child at a time.
